Technology is taking over human jobs.

I learned that fortune 500 companies are now using artificial intelligence tools to interview people.Is this practice fair? They are using facial analysis among other methods to weed out people. Is this ethical? In my opinion it is taking away jobs from people around the world. Especially now more than ever that people need employment. It is scary to imagine what the future holds for our society if technology takes fully over the jobs.

Good start to the month of February

Today February 1, 2021 was a good day not to mention today is my birthday. I love the feeling of waking up to a warm welcome from my daughters and wife each morning. As you get older you start to appreciate the little things. I think when we are younger we live our lives at a fast pace that we forget the little things. To the right is a picture of my second youngest daughter Tiana Gomez.

My progress in IS101

This is the first week of IS101, and I have finished the first weeks assignments. So far so good, I really like the structure of Cengage. It is easy to follow along and navigate through the assignments. Professor Wu, by far takes great interest in his students and his craft. I am pleased to know that if I have issues he responses right away. Other professors in the past would lack greatly in this.

Leaving 2020 in the past and looking forward to 2021

After the COVID-19 chaos of 2020, I am looking forward to a fresh start in 2021. Looking at all the possibilities that IS101 Introduction to Information Systems class offers makes me eager to get started right away. I have always wanted to learn Microsoft Word and Excel at a professional level. My heart tells me that 2021 will bring many new prosperous opportunities.
